What is Music Quiz Maker?

Music Quiz Maker lets you turn any public Spotify playlist into a free printable music quiz. Paste a playlist link, generate a PDF, and print cards with QR codes for each song.

It is made for parties, classrooms, pubs, family gatherings, and anyone who wants a quick way to create a music guessing game.

How to play

Create a free double-sided PDF with QR codes on one side and the answers on the back — ready to print, cut, and play.

Create or choose a public Spotify playlist. Choose an existing Spotify playlist or create a custom one for your quiz. Make sure it is public or shareable so Music Quiz Maker can read it. Paste the playlist link. Copy the playlist URL or playlist ID, paste it into Music Quiz Maker, and press Enter to generate the quiz. Generate the quiz cards. One card is created for each song. The QR code goes on the front, and the answer information is placed on the back. Print the cards. Each page contains 9 cards in a 3 by 3 layout. Print single-sided or double-sided. Cut and shuffle. Cut out the cards and shuffle the deck. Scan, listen, and guess. Scan the QR code with a phone, listen to the song, and guess the song title, artist, and year. Flip the card to check the answer.

Playlist data, track links, and album artwork are fetched from Spotify's public Web API. QR codes link to public Spotify track URLs. Music playback happens in Spotify and may require a Spotify account.

This tool is intended for personal, educational, and non-commercial quiz use.
